Walk at Night
From an earlier season · raw & unedited
We walk in night.
Even those among us who seem to have the greatest sight.
They may appear as if all is well.
That they can see as they do tell of the path inside their hearts.
Yet when all is stripped away what of eternal worth remains inside a prideful heart?
If only we had eyes to see the depth of our humanity.
That we are small and less then all would be our hearts delight!
Then we could know that our Savior Christ fulfills our all in Life.
He cries "my Grace sustains and shines in the face of life and its stinging pains". Tear the veil and restore our sight, humble us and make us tright!
Oh may this prayer not rise in vain but cause our souls to feel the pain of sins great sting that speared our spirits as we were slain.
Then perhaps in the truest lack our eyes would rise on him who died to restore our sight and bring the dead to Life!
On him who died in perfect Love to shower Grace from God above.
On him who moves to fold deep despair to songs of Praise and Lives of prayer. His love is bringing us home, all who believe and count themselves as none.
We walk in night, do you have true sight? We walk in night, I beg, so seek the light! Seek the Light! Seek the Light! Deny your sight, and seek the light so pride will die as Christ does rise!
