This Community Needs Support

This will be a long post and will go through several revisions. I am basically going to write the conclusion for now. A Battle Needing Warriors At the heart of the is the appeal to stand for the truth in a dark world. Its not a trivial matter that a principle so clear in scripture has been dragged through so much misunderstanding. The very best way to express ones support is to participate and be a good example. This is an intimidating proposition for men and their wives, but affirmative action is going to be necessary on an individual level, and a social level. Start by being an excellent human being, and live as if life IS your purpose, and engender life in the decisions you make. The end goal of this has to be the beauty of children that follow Yah's ways, families that last, and a supporting and loving patriarchy based plural or monogamous marriages. A structure that supports family is a structure that wins, that is sustainable, that is good for economics, that is good for teaching about commitment and love, that encourages social integration, that is found abundantly in nature, and finally and most importantly, that is within the realm of the goodness of God's creation. An underdog position The market for polyamory is blooming, and an honest consideration would recognize serial monogamy as a type of polyamory meaning most people are indeed poly-amorous in their lifetimes. It is unfortunate and disadvantageous to biblical men that the Church has undermined biblical truth in this, and on the other side we are up against a cultural egalitarianism movement that has created a poly marketplace that is not supportive of family building. IF the church had taught the full truth, we might at least have some shining stars practicing polygyny: with the support of the church. Instead we have a highly marginalized and misunderstood subgroup that has naturally and rightfully had to in many ways hide from society. Anger is an common and honest response to the knowledge of that one has these types of beliefs. Is Omission Acceptable? As men we need to value the future, and desire to create opportunities for all people to live and practice their beliefs and build their family free from fear of oppression or threat. There is a desperate need for successful polygynous families, or the secular market is going to continue to dominate defining poly type structures and thus systematically oppress any men or women who are naturally inclined towards this (what about believers who would wan't it? Right now they are not even allowed to think its an option). By being bold and pushing to practice this successfully and in the long-term, and healthy and happy polygynous family stands to be a pillar of beauty and magnitude in purpose and faith in what would be otherwise a dark environment indeed. How am I called specifically? I am not sure total disregard of this issue is acceptable, even if you only want one woman. Obviously we will not all be called or desire to practice this, but some of us must try. Other must support by standing for truth, others still must unfortunately suffer oppression. I do think there is a critical need for people to consider this, and to not forget the people of God. Polygyny is good.
