The Law is Perfect

The Law of God is altogether perfect, and any imperfections we might perceive, are actually the product of our our misunderstandings. In my opinion, the law assumes a society that is much more spiritually healthy than most, and therefore operates under a very different set of circumstances and social norms. Now, later in time and under different sets of expectations, we read the text and bring so much interpretive baggage to the table. Our imaginative capacity is severely hindered by the onslaught of circumstantial distortions. I do think God has a plan though, and in instances where I catch glimpses of the beauty and love and is at the heart of the the first five books, I find myself acutely aware that a society dominated by love can experience a type of freedom we only vaguely understand now. There is hope for a better world expressed in the perfect law as well. Though only glimpses are caught, they are brilliant enough to inspire me to push into the love of the Father and Son in the hope of living in such a society. The glimpses are also inspiring enough to help me trust the parts I don't understand more, or more specifically, to trust that the core of God's character and law are love. We should seek to love one another, and to grow altogether in Love. As believers, we should look to the future with hope, and find faith in the glimpses of beauty we are given. The final Kingdom is assured as a product of the perfection of the literal text we are dealing with, so let us find hope to enter that Kingdom with the character of men of God. In Christ, let us seek to love and show courage as a testament to our faith that we find entering His Kingdom worth the sufferings of this present age. The Law is Perfect, that's why we all broke under it, now let us accept the forgiveness(love) of the Law giver in Christ Yeshua, who is also altogether Perfect and mighty to save.
