The Logical Issue

Properly using logic in deducing biblical conclusions is critical to be successful. God is not the author of confusion, but is clear and consistent in his application. As we believe his word endures forever, and is unchanging. Therefore, what is logically neccessary to uneqivically prove the monogamy was either the essential standard or the legal requirement of God is one of the two following. A clear endorcement of monogyny as the essential plan of God for every man. A explicit prohibition against practicing polygyny. If what we see is actually an array of different people, some living monogyny, some living polygny, neither explicitly condemned for their polygyny or praised for their monogyny, some called men of God, some revealed more in their fallen nature. A case can't be made from the character of the varias practitioners of marriage for the validity or condemnation either type. In the culture we currently live in, that moral eqivilence is denied generally by the secular population, and nearly universally by the christian population. This to me is unacceptable. God's word should always reign primary in our life and in our understanding of morality. Therefore I am pro-polygyny. I also happen to hope to benefit from the outcomes of it's successful implications if I can somehow overcome the cultural hurdles involved (see the rest of my blog).
