Where Those Streams Flow
From an earlier season · raw & unedited
Oh the depth of what is the word of God. That we would know those streams would be life to those who drink. To be provided such a overflowing fountian of truth and deep satisfying pure water is the delight of the human soul. Here the Spirit of God hovered over us, knew us, and destined us. He spoke and drew us out at his word, and planted us anew for his Glorious purposes. They arise from within the heart of God, given through the timeless Spirit, whom searches all things even to the depth of God's desires, and petitions God on behalf of his beloved. Those springs are deep, and they are unbridled by human depravity and doubt. Yes, in these places the Spirit pours into our lives and breathes into our lungs. We are satisfied with pure air, with deep and satisfying water for our souls. Like a gentle canoe flows down river, so we flow to our destiny. Those streams give birth to seas of green, to bushes and great trees fruiting with color, with roots pushing deep into the earth, under rivers and floods. Here the tree knows this is a safe place to find nourishment during time of rain and times of drought. These great fountains will never run dry. All our needs are met in eternal glory here. So seek to lay down your desires here. Seek to pour out your conscious effort here, next to these deep waters. Seek to sow the light of your eyes and the passion of your heart near this place. Trust that in time, all things good will be birthed and nourished by the hand of God. His has such a soft and loving touch. He is deeply tender in his pruning of our lives. He is tender, but sure when he draws his sword and prunes our fruitless branches. Yes, we must give him those broken limbs, the lost parts of ourselves, those dead fruitless branches we are so desperate to hold onto. Not that they are meaningless, but that they are endowed with great meaning when we lay them at the Sovreigns feet. In this place we trust, because we know that he is good, and that he is faithful in spite of our little faith, and he has great gifts for his children. When the branches are pruned the roots can go deep, building a great foundation for producing a greater harvest in the future. We must abide and trust in this place. His purpose is birthed in time as sustained by his knowledge and might. If we trust, we will see a spledid thing happen in our lives, a great and mighty blooming of truth, of life-giving fruit. So thirst, and find the stream. Long as you float atop its deep currents. Tremble as you stare at the heavens above, and in this place allow yourself to become small beneath what is created, as it points to the Glory of the Creator in whom you believe. Beside these streams of living water, in the cool of the day, we walk with our Father and long to know his voice, his great precepts.
