A Generation Declaration

From an earlier season · raw & unedited
Here we are. We stand anew in mind, yet in old in truth, a generation of artists, of scientist, of scholars and of teachers, each completely deserving of their position in this society of post-modern man. We have no need to be tought, for we already know! Here we are in all our majesty, crowned in science and exalted in liberty! Here we stand at then cutting edge of history with a scalpel so razor sharp as to carve away even the depths of our own perception, to rip apart reality itself and fall into the unknown that has bonded us to fear for generations and generations. Unlike any age beforel us, with its people, with its many peoples shrouded by the dark veil and the possibilities that arise out of darkness, we are truly free! We have mastered darkness and have proven its inability to hold logically. We have confined evil, and placed it to rest in the side pocket of our worn out blue jeans. We are all masters of language, weaving tales of great glory for we have conquered. We are all politicians, we have all ascended into the realms of knowledge that has yet to be known by any that lived before us. We are set apart in our prosperity, we are special in our minds, and we are the mightily force that will drive planet earth and humanity with its great undefined calling onward to a place we know not by word, but by deep desire and irrevocable rights. We are humanity, and we are progressive, as time unfolds before us we define our truth and we set our ways with the working of our hands and the great aspirations of our minds. We are unchained to the ignorance that once held down generations before us. We have seen a light that has been defined within the context of our own souls, and we seek to defy all that holds us back in mighty triumphs. If a problem arises, we wrap it in thought, we cover it in action, we bury it in the unknown. We laugh, we laugh, and we laugh! We are a generation of comics, and we know in ourselves that all men have the right to this lofty aspiration that is to be esteemed as we seek praise from one another. We clap to one another and hold each other up. Look at all these saints! Look at men’s great deeds. Let us esteem mankind, and hold him up! Let mankind reach unto the loftiest ideals and bring heaven here, to earth. Let us not seek to go up, but let us bring heaven down! Let us again recognize OUR GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS! If pride is something to be reconciled with, If pride, not real to us, was in fact absolute, it is only in our ability to see it others. Certainly pride is our enemies struggle and not our own. “It is the others that need to be humbled” we cry! It is the nations of violence, it is the impoverished nations. We cry as we long for more. We scream as we know that even tomorrow we will wake up to new possibilities, to new hopes, to new dreams. We have broken the shackles of burden and of surrender that has kept us enslaved to the ways of simple ignorance. “Yes”! We shout, with voices loud and united in the recognition of humanities next great move, fostered and nurtured by globalization and subjective absolution. We can see beyond the shadow of a doubt, and no doubt we can see beyond the shadow of faith. Neither hot nor cold, have we transcended the opposites to rise to our absolute destiny. We have grabbed the horns of this great beast called the world, and we have tamed him. We have framed all knowledge and wisdom within the confines of human perception. We have no need, because we have no lack! Now is the time. This is the generation! Poised and strong in our minds. Yet in spite of all of this we are broken in the inner chambers of our hearts. Shattered families and values lost at the place formally called home. What is family! What is Love! What is faith! What is truth! It is nothing but what “I say it is.” Thus our own perception becomes our guide and in this we are free and mighty. So lifted up, we stand on the tips of our toes. Here we stand ready to fall into brokenness. We stand Ready to have all around us collapse in a great spectacle. Oh the sight to see when the dust settles! This is a peculiar generation.
