Yeesh · Life — One Door
Genesis 2 as a garden seen from above — the King James text is the soil, and every word is a seed. Click one and its Hebrew lemma grows a tree of every occurrence in the Old Testament: boughs by book in canonical order, leaves by verse, leaf tints by the KJV's own renderings (אֲדָמָה alone wears land, earth, ground, country, husbandman), gold fruit for Genesis 1–3. Hover a leaf to read its verse with the word lit, pin verses to a reading list, and follow root-families from אָדָם to אֲדָמָה, from אִישׁ to אִשָּׁה. Eleven bedrock words (יהוה, אלהים, ארץ…) stand unclickable — too deep to uproot. One tree at a time, and the soil of Genesis 2 is the only ground that grows — in three views: the canopy from above, the tree from the side with its roots beneath the soil, and the river, the word's course through the canon parted into four heads.
