Why an assembly?

“Qahal” (קָהָל) is the Scripture pattern of a gathered people — not a casual crowd, but an ordered assembly. Unity, exhortation, doctrine, sharpening, and order are repeatedly tied to faithful gathering.

Psalm 133:1

“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!”

Hebrews 10:24–25

“...not neglecting to meet together... but encouraging one another.”

Acts 2:42

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching...” (doctrine + practice)

Proverbs 27:17

“Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”

1 Corinthians 14:40

“All things should be done decently and in order.”

2 Timothy 2:2

“...entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”

The point is not “community for community’s sake,” but ordered strengthening for household faithfulness.
